Woodlands Campground

After passing through the main gate take the first road (County Rd. #12) to your right and just past a couple of buildings you will see the entrance to Woodlands. If you are driving a large RV you are recommended to avoid going through the section in the woods as the turns are much sharper.

Woodlands Campground is partially in the woods and partially in mainly open fields.  Many are large sites suitable for larger trailers requiring more room to turn around. The field sites are gradually filling with more underbrush and some trees. Those in the woods are considered as full shade sites wonderful after a hot day in the blazing sun at the beach.

All 149 sites have electricity and most of these sites are suitable for larger RVs especially considering the roads are paved. Most allow 2 vehicles parked on a site unlike most other campgrounds at Sandbanks.

There are two comfort stations, each with washrooms, showers and a small laundry. Water taps are spaced throughout.

Woodlands Campground is situated in a mature hardwood stand and is about a 10 minute walk from the Outlet Beach. The Woodlands Trail runs through the area and provides good access for bicycling or walking to the Dunes Beach area.

Near the entrance are a trailer sanitation, garbage and recycling area.
