Cedars Campground

Cedars is one of three camping areas in the Outlet area of Sandbanks Provincial Park and as you enter the area it is the first area, closest to the park office. It is in the “V” formed by the main road into the Outlet area and County Rd # 18 which by-passes the park.

It includes 89 campsites which are mainly shady sites with some sun. They vary in size and privacy. Most are flat, level with the road and a few have a means to drive throughCedars Campgrouns Sandbanks Park.  There are no sites with electricity in the area.

There is one comfort station with washrooms, showers and small laundry. Vault toilets and water taps are spaced throughout. Just outside Cedars is the trailer sanitation area. Just inside the area is a garbage and recycling section.

All are suitable for tents. Though it includes a few sites for large trailers some are awkward for parking even a small trailer. Trees over-hanging some of the roadways occasionally scrape the top of large trailers.

Most of the campsites are easy walking distance to the most north-western end of Outlet Beach. When making your reservation check the site information for poison ivy which is prevalent throughout the park.

The entrance to Cedars is before the Park Store and Restaurant, on the left.
