2024 School Programs

Sandbanks Provincial Park currently has four school programs available to elementary and high school students.

These include Dynamic Dunes, Ecosystem Medicine, Shoreline Ecology, and Sensory Sketching Safari.

This September our new Migrating Monarchs program will be available. Each curriculum-oriented program is filled with content that directly applies to habitats within the park. These will be modified to suit the grade range participating. Hands-on learning activities such as marram grass planting, tree planting, invasive species removal, and butterfly tagging provide real-world resource management and community science initiatives.

Participation in these programs will support citizen science and resource management in Ontario Parks and help support the maintenance of ecological integrity at Sandbanks for future generations.
