Buckthorn Removal, October 15 - 16. 2022
Our First Annual Buckthorn Removal project took place over the October 15th weekend at West Point just off the Lakeview Trail. A joint effort with the Park, the Friends of Sandbanks, Kevin Halloran of Greenman Tree Services, a grant from Prince Edward County and the heavy-lifting of dedicated volunteers from the Friends and Quinte area, made great progress over the two-day period in removing this invasive tree from our Park.As you can seen from the images below, it wasn't easy work!
