Parade of Pumpkins 2021
2021 marked the first year of this event for the benefit of those hardy campers who were braving frosty but sunny weather in late October.Held on October 23rd the event was sponsored by the Friends of Sandbanks, and spear-headed by the Park's Carlin Thompson. For a $10 fee, participants were given a pumpkin to carve. Former Park Discovery Team member Zac Flavelle produced a great "how-to" video on pumpkin carving, and supplied a wonderful owl-carved pumpkin for the event.
Held at the Park Amphitheatre, entries were judged, and prizes awarded for the best pumpkins. Families enjoyed a roaring bonfire and the camaraderie of this final event at the Park for 2021.
The Friends, including Neil and Penny Sipkes, Agneta Sand, Janet Mooney and Liz and Mike Lattner staffed our table of sales items, and answered questions about the Park and the Friends of Sandbanks during the event.
