Architecture Around Sandbanks Park
Mills' Cottage, 190 Lakeshore Lodge RoadMany of you will be familiar with the last small cottage before entering the Lakeshore Lodge Site of Sandbanks Park on West Point.
The original use of this small building was as a chicken coop for the nearby Lakeshore Lodge.

Known as the Mills' cottage after owner Mr. (Albert) Mills, a postal carrier, this building dated from about 1930, and was on the site of a permanent residence earlier destroyed by fire.
The property was sold in 2017, then again during the summer of 2019, and the cottage has now been removed to make way for new construction.
The archival images were contributed by Carol (Huycke) Lake in 2019, and show the cottage and outbuildings in the late 1930s
