Lakeland Lodge

Built in 1929 by the MacDonald Family opposite their farm-house across the road, and on the site of the former MacDonald-Hyatt grain storage shed, in its heyday this popular resort featured cottages, a tennis court, bowling green, docks and delicious home-cooked meals prepared by Sarah MacDonald (née Hyatt) and her daughter-in-law Aoda MacDonald (née Ostrander).
