The Woodyard

Description

The Woodyard is located on the north shore of the Outlet River, and may be accessed from the main road running parallel to Outlet Beach. Watch for the sign on the east side of the road just before the bridge over the Outlet River. (map below)

Hours of operation: July 1 - Labour Day, daily from 10h00 to 20h00. Before and after those dates, firewood may be purchased from either the East Lake (Outlet Beach) or the West Lake (Dunes Beach) gate houses during regualr hours.

Sandbanks particpates in the Tackle Share Program where children and adults new to angling can sign out a rod and reel as well as an assortment of fishing tackle.

Firewood $10.00
Kindling $6.50 plus HST
Worms $6.99 plus HST

Boat Rentals

 
Canoe/Kayak/Paddleboard, two hours $25.00
Canoe/Kayak/Paddleboard, four hours $50.00

$200.00 deposit required (Credit Card only)

All items must be returned by 1900 hours ( 7 p.m.) each evening.

Items Available for Loan

  • Sandbanks has an all-terrain (beach and shoreline) wheelchair and one floating (more submersible) wheelchair available to borrow. These are loaned with a $100 refundable deposit on a first-come basis at the East Gate or West Gate Park Offices, or by calling 613-393-3319.
  • Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) can be borrowed from West Gate Office. A refundable deposit of $30.00 is required.
  • Fishing Supplies: tackle, fishing rod and reel are freely available to borrow through the Ontario Tackleshare Program.
