Outlet Beach

Description

Outlet Beach, situated on the western shore of Lake Ontario on the East Lake Bar is by far the most popular, and frequently crowded, beach at the Park. The 2km long expanse of fine sand gently slopes into the water, which makes it perfect for families with young children.

At the south end of the beach, where the Outlet River separates the public beach from the lakefront camspite area, there is a pet-friendly area.

The waters also provide a great spot for board sailors, who are ofen seen here, even in winter!

Facilities

Outlet Beach features full washrooms, as well as several family-sized picnic shelters, equipped with stand-up charcoal barbecues near the Park Amphitheatre.

Near the centre of the area is Currah's Park Store and Grill, perfect for all-day meals, as well as selling the often-forgotten sunscreen or mosquito repellant.

Convenient parking is less than 50 metres from the beach, and mobility-challenged accessible.

This is a Day-Use Facility only (07h00 - 22h00). Overnight camping is prohibited.

Please note: Lifeguards are not present at any Sandbanks Park beaches. Parents and/or guardians are solely responsible for their children's and/or guests' safety.
