What's It All About?

For many years Sandbanks Provincial Park has hosted a nature walk by well-known Park Naturalist Yvette Bree. This year's event will begin at the Park Store (Currah's) across from Outlet Beach. The group will then take a short drive to the southern edge of the Park, where Yvette will host an easy and informative walk, showing and discussing the Park's spring wildflowers, including such early bloomers as Red and White Trilliums, Marsh Marigolds, bellwort and others.

This relaxing walk is both wheelchair and stroller accessible with modifications... the inquisitive participation of young children is encouraged!

After the walk, guests are invited to return to the Park Store for complimentary afternoon tea. The Friends of Sandbanks Shop will be showcasing our newest merchandise for 2017 at the Park Store.

Works by local artist Catherine Reilly will be on display and entertainment will be provided by popular local musician (and Friends of Sandbanks Park Chair!) Mark Despault.
